Sample Processing
Smart and simple - sample processing with Geniom
Expression profiling: 7.5 µg (may be reduced to 1 µg under optimized conditions)
Genotyping: 25 ng PCR products per Array
Sample preparation and labeling
Use standard protocols for amplification and biotin-labeling - e.g. a modified Eberwine protocol for samples used in gene expression profiling. Signal amplification is achieved with streptavidin- bound fluorescence markers (up to four different).
Hybridization
Mount the biochip in the febit hybridization unit.
Simply pipette labeled DNA samples into the biochip via the appropriate ports. Flush the arrays by gentle suction with disposable syringes at the corresponding outlets.
Put the unit in any standard hybridization oven.
Hybridizing outside the Geniom keeps sample volume at 10-15 µl and maximizes throughput in particular when working with long hybridization times.
Recover probes samples by disposable syringes and wash.
